Join the Report and Support, HROD, and EEDI teams for No Place for Hate, an awareness event marking National Hate Crime Awareness Week (10 to 17 October).
The event will create a welcoming space for students and staff to learn more about hate crime, its impact, and how we can work together to create a safer and more inclusive community.
Visit our information stall to:
- Learn what a hate crime is and how to recognise it.
- Explore the role of an Active Bystander and how intervention can help prevent harm.
- Discover the five Active Bystander intervention techniques that can be used when witnessing inappropriate behaviour or discrimination.
- Find out how to report incidents and access support both within Sheffield Hallam University and in the wider community.
Supporting Organisations
We are pleased to be joined by:
- South Yorkshire Police Community Officers, who will be providing information on hate crime awareness, harm reduction, and crime prevention.
- Hallam Students' Union Advice Centre, offering information and guidance on available support services.
Together, we can help ensure there is No Place for Hate in our community. We look forward to seeing you there
