Spiking is a serious crime and carries up to a 10-year prison sentence.
If you or someone you know has been spiked there are several options for both reporting the incident and getting support:
Reporting Options
Tell the venue staff
Notify a member of staff at the pub, club or venue immediately about what has happened
Report it to the police
- If you or someone you know, are in immediate danger call 999. When calling 999 there is an option for silent support – by pressing 55 if talking would put you in danger.
- Use the non-emergency number 101.

Report sexual assault
If you have or think you may have been sexually assaulted contact the local sexual assault referral centre at Hackenthorpe Lodge.
Report on campus
If you're on campus and feel unsafe or need help, call Hallam's Security on 0114 225 8888.

You may choose not to report. You can contact Spiking - Victim Support – whether or not you choose to report the crime
Seek Medical Help
- Don’t hesitate to call for medical help if you need it.
- In an emergency call 999 or attend A&E.
